The Madrigal Group from Palmers which visited Scotland in 1955

This photo has been provided by David Mooring (1954-61), a member of the monthly lunch gathering of OPs in South Essex.

The group stayed in Penkhill Castle, not far from Girvan, and gave several concerts in the surrounding towns.

The lady in the centre is Ms Boyd, who owned the castle, and the teachers were, of course, Hopkins and Tyrell.

David can name David Bishop, John Cornner, Michael Horne (3rd from right) and himself (the only one in glasses!)
and although he well remembesr all the faces, putting names to them all is a challenge after 70 years.
It'll be interesting if others get recognised and identified more successfully!
